WOMAN HAS BABY AFTER MISCARRIAGE AND 18 YEARS OF TRYING

Pregnancy After Recurrent Miscarriage

This article is tragic but inspirational. This woman tried to build a family for 18 years.
She suffered multiple miscarriage and the loss of her son. But she finally had a normal pregnancy after 18 years. Good things can happen, even after so much loss. Read more:

hospital and six pushes later was holding her perfect baby daughter and counting her fingers and toes. They called her Kara Jacqualene after the doctor who helped them so much.

“When I held Kara for the first time it didn’t seem real,” says Tina.

“All the years of sadness make us love her more. No matter what she asks for, she’ll probably get it. Jack could never ask for anything – I can’t wait for her to ask for things.”

They have bought Kara lots of toys and have been inundated with baby clothes. “She has a better wardrobe than me,” jokes Tina.

“Jack would have adored her. He loved children. When she’s old enough we’ll tell her all about her amazing brother and how we never gave up on her.

“She is our dream come true."

CLAIRVOYANT'S VIEW OF MISCARRIAGE

A Willingness to Live - A Clairvoyant's View of Baby Psychology and Parent Psychology

Guest Post By Jean Mastellone

I am a clairvoyant with an unusual ability to see deeply into the human subconscious. I have worked as a clairvoyant researcher for over 20 years in a project whose objective was to discover the root cause of negative human experience. During that time, while tracking child, teen, and adult destructive behavior patterns, I have recorded hundreds of segments detailing the psychological
experience of the person's womb life. The following are some of my clairvoyant observations relating to prenatal psychology and life inside the womb.

Baby psychology and parent psychology are interconnected. We have much to learn about baby psychology and positive parenting. What typically goes on subconsciously and psychologically between babies and their parents is extremely influential and often shocking.

SEE ALSO: MISCARRIAGE, WHAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW (getpregnantover40.com)

Willingness to live and grow
In order to stay and grow, an embryo body has many developmental obstacles to get through. There are zillions of connections that have to be made perfectly. This takes a degree of physical and mental health on the part of both baby and mother. The embryo consciousness, from conception, is participating in making those connections with his or her willingness to live and grow. The embryo's cooperation is a definite factor in personal health and development.
This participation and cooperation became apparent to me while I was clairvoyantly reading a mother who had had two miscarriages and desperately wanted to keep her current baby. At first, I thought the embryo consciousness was "dormant" or sleeping, but later I saw that she in fact was actively and subconsciously communicating with her mother by expressing her willingness to live. The mother was "willing" her baby to stay and grow and the embryo was "willing" the same. Together, they were getting through places of potential danger where certain hook-ups could have been weak or flawed. I sensed at that time that if people could consciously tap-into their full memory files, they would be able to remember exactly how their embryo body had been formed.
While observing a four-week-old embryo, I saw that the baby's mother had subconsciously put negative thought energy on her baby because she was extremely upset about being pregnant. Amazingly, I saw the natural energies in the DNA that were sustaining life and creating physical growth begin to push the mother's negative psychological energy out of the embryo's body, aura, and living space. This energetic activity clearly seemed to be a natural, spontaneous repelling action. It allowed the embryo to continue growing unimpeded by her parent's abrasive negative mental and emotional energies that were being directed toward her. I saw the same phenomena on several other occasions with different embryos. Nonetheless, this natural protective response seemed to occur only within the first eight weeks after conception.
Moving up in the womb world
The physical position of an unborn baby in the womb has psychological dimensions. I have repeatedly seen that an embryo's physical growth and psychological development were related to the mother's "energy centers" (Chakras) that are located in the lower portion of her physical body. In particular, the first, second, and third energy centers play a significant role during pregnancy and prenatal development. I found this remarkable.
I saw that conception occurred in the aura of the first energy center, the "survival center," at the base of the mother's spine. As the embryo grew and developed, the baby moved up into the area of the second center, which is the "feeling center." This is the area where emotional and sexual energies are felt, exchanged, and stored as "memory."
Waking up to feelings
When I observed an embryo first waking up to feelings, the baby was positioned in the mother's feeling center (second energy center) and was becoming a "feeling human."
The two-week old unborn babies in my studies began feeling and responding to their mothers' conscious and subconscious feelings and emotional states. As they grew and matured, they moved into the aura of the mothers' third energy center, which is the "activity center." At this point, the babies had become substantially larger, more physically developed, and more active,
The willingness to live is important at any stage in life. It means a willingness to be alive in the truest sense of those words. It means ongoing health on a mental, emotional, and physical level. This kind of aliveness requires right choices that we can all, anytime we are willing, naturally sense and choose that goal.
Prenatal psychology is a controversial topic primarily because of the abortion issue. Scientific studies directed toward identifying facts about prenatal psychology (conducted mainly outside the U.S,) have been ongoing for the past 40 years. Many scientific findings coincide with what I see when I look inside the womb.

COULD CLOMID ACTUALLY CAUSE MISCARRIAGE?

Clomid and Pregnancy Loss

Clomid is a commonly prescribed drug to help stimulate ovulation. I'm sure many women who've miscarried and previously taken Clomid may wonder whether or not this drug which initially was taken to help them get pregnant could possibly have contributed to their miscarriage.

SEE ALSO: HOW CLOMID MAY HARM FERTILITY (getpregnantover40.com)

Here is an interesting article which may draw a connection between Clomid, the uterine lining, and miscarriage. Read more:

When things go wrong, chances are great that the problems had nothing to do with the Clomid. However, there have recently been some reports of paradoxical responses to Clomid that cause the uterine lining to be thinned. This can be measured by ultrasound in the second half of your cycle. I've read reports that baby aspirin treatment may improve the thickness of thin uterine linings. Clomid can indirectly raise your risk of miscarriage because it causes you to ovulate more eggs than you normally would, possibly including imperfect eggs that your body might normally censor. Since there is a greater likelihood of ovulating eggs that are defective (along with the healthy ones) there is a greater risk of miscarrying. The imperfect eggs are what might cause the pregnancy loss

MUSIC TO HELP BRING PEACE AFTER MISCARRIAGE

Music For Pregnancy Loss

Music seems to be such a positive force in life. I found music to be very comforting during the tough times - especially after having a miscarriage. I had a small memorial service (by myself) for each baby I lost, and music was a part of that.

SEE ALSO: HOW TO HAVE A MEMORIAL FOR YOUR BABY LOST THROUGH MISCARRIAGE (getpregnantover40.com_

Here is an article about how music can help couples through miscarriage:

For weeks after her first miscarriage, the only notes that could escape the throat of liturgical music minister Monica Perz-Waddington belonged to the traditional Quaker tune "How Can I Keep from Singing?" Calling this effort "somewhat of a lament and an affirmation at the same time," Perz-Waddington used this song to surface from underneath her "rock" of depression. Then, armed

with a strong, soulful voice and a love of God, the music minister at Arlington?s 11:15 a.m. Mass at Our Lady, Queen of Peace Church and 6 p.m. Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Church, leaned on her faith and found healing through the power of music.

In the fall of 2003, Perz-Waddington released "Truly Loved," a self-funded compact disc filled with 10 songs and one Scripture reading designed to bring peace to families who have lost children through miscarriages.
The title track of the compilation was written entirely by Perz-Waddington, sketched out in 1999 when a friend miscarried her baby and completed in 2001 when she lost a baby of her own. With its clear lyrics and simple instrumentation, "Truly Loved" tugs at the heart of the grief that miscarriage brings but concurrently embraces the peace of knowing that the miscarried child knew only love.
"Losing a baby before it is born is just as real as losing a baby after it?s born," said Perz-Waddington. "My song and my CD are very affirming about the value of that life. It acknowledges that, and that it?s okay to grieve."

HEAVY EXERCISE TRIPLES MISCARRIAGE RISK

Miscarriage Over 40 Prevention - Go Easy On Exercise

I have always suspected that too much exercise will not only affect your ability to get pregnant, but also your ability to stay pregnant (especially in early pregnancy). I actually address this in my book. I don't know the science behind it, but it just makes logical sense to me that if your body is bouncing around with high impact exercise, it would be harder for an embryo to "take hold" and implant the way it should. So many sources basically dismiss any association between exercise and miscarriage. However, this article talks about a study that was done on exercise in early pregnancy and how it does seem to increase the risk of miscarriage:

After collecting the data about the participants, the researchers compared women who did not take any exercise at all with those who exercised more than seven hours a week or played “high-impact” sports, such as ball games and racket sports.

It was found that women who played "high-impact" sports or who exercised for more than seven hours a week were approximately three-and-a-half times more likely to miscarry.

The researchers also found that miscarriage was far rarer later in pregnancy, and that the association between exercise and miscarriage disappeared

one of the three mafter the 18-week mark.

"The results of this study suggest that leisure time exercise during pregnancy, and particularly high-impact exercise, is associated with an increased risk of miscarriage in the early stage of pregnancy," the BBC quoted the authors of the study as writing in the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

However, the study has also shown that swimming, which is one of the most popular exercises among pregnant women, does not increase the risk of miscarriage.

TLC AFTER MISCARRIAGE MAY HELP SUCCESSFUL PREGNANCY

Miscarriage:  Supportive Tender Loving Care May Help

I used to think that a doctor or nurse's "bedside manner" really didn't mean much. I just wanted good care.  I recall dealing with a number of different healthcare professionals who just did not know what to say to a woman who suffered this type of loss.  I got everything from, "You can always adopt", to a blank stare and a fast exit out of the room.  I was surprised because people who work in OB/GYN must see quite a few women who experience miscarriage.  You would think they would know better.

In the first study, researchers screened 195 couples with recurrent miscarriages and found identifiable causes of the miscarriages in 56%. In the remaining couples with no abnormalities, 86% of couples receiving counseling and support carried their pregnancies to term as compared to 33% who received no special care.

RAW FOOD TO HELP PREGNANCY AND PREVENT MISCARRIAGE

Miscarriage Pevention with Raw Food

This article is from a woman who experienced repeated miscarriage, especially as she got older.
Her philosophy and the actions she took sound very similar to mine. Eating the right foods does wonders for your body and can help balance hormones to get you back on track. Read more:

From the article:

I am a big believer in what the right food can do for us, and if we are a woman experiencing miscarriages, eating more raw live food could never hurt your present situation....only improve it. So many fertility issues can be improved by changing to a raw diet as well as implementing exercise. Certainly not all of them, but many can. In my case it was age related infertility that was the culprit.

The raw food improved my endocrine function as well as my egg quality which therefore made it possible to successfully conceive. In the case of endometriosis, raw food can improve liver function and therefore better rid the body of the excess estrogen that is the culprit in that disease. In the case of PCOS, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, the endocrine system is in such chaos, raw food can only improve and better regulate this condition, more than anything processed or from store shelves. Whenever possible eat from the ground, so to speak.

Eating this way won't solve any miscarriage issues overnight. It takes a number of months to see the benefits of living this way depending on what conditions are causing the miscarriages. Its not like taking pharmaceuticals that have a sudden aggressive impact. These are nutrients that our bodies were made for and are familiar with. They work gently, but make no mistake, just because you may not suddenly feel different, doesn't mean that it's not working it's magic. This food is effective for so many conditions, infertility is just one of them. The condition of our endocrine system that regulates reproduction, as well as our egg quality are profoundly affected by diet. Improving the nourishment that these are getting over the course of some months will have a favorable outcome on your reproductive potential to maximize conception success. If a strong healthy conception takes place, you will then carry to term. So much of preventing miscarriage happens in the time prior to the conception by way of what we are eating and our lifestyle as a whole.

HONOR BABIES ON POST LOSS ANNIVERSARY

10 Things About Anniversaries Post-Loss

Guest Post By Nathalie Himmelrich
1. Anniversary reactions are normal
Even years after the loss you may have emotional reactions to anniversaries. You might feel sad, angry, contemplative or any other emotions. Remembering them as being normal can help you understand and take them as healing opportunities.
2. Do whatever feels right for you
Take it in your hands, take responsibility to make the day meaningful / helpful / healing-ful for you. Healing is YOUR choice, remembering too.
There are many ideas and suggestions out there: search Google to find many more ideas. Read up on ideas and make your choice.
If you have done something special please share it in the comments for others to read and benefit.

SEE ALSO: HOW TO HAVE A MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR YOUR LOST BABY THROUGH MISCARRIAGE AND PREGNANCY LOSS (getpregnantover40.com)

3. Manage your expectations of others
This might sound harsh but no one is required to remember your loved one. Thinking that others
http://getpregnantover40.com/chakras-for-fertility.htm
should/need to... will turn into disappointment. Everyone is doing the best they can, some remember but prefer not to talk about it and some don't remember. In addition, they are not mind readers and therefore do not know whether you prefer to talk about your child or not. In general, society does keep quiet for 'fear' of the potential emotional reaction they might trigger.
4. Speak up
Say what you need. Involve those that are important to you. On the first birthday of my daughter I asked the family to bring something from nature, like a stone, feather etc. to remember Amya. We held a small circle and each person was invited to speak. This is what I needed and by letting people know, it happened. On the girls 2nd birthday, I made a memorial video of Amya. Just for myself - the way I wanted to honour Amya.
5. Be true to yourself
What you feel like doing, or not doing, is not necessarily what another mother or father chooses to do. Stay true to yourself. There is no guideline on what needs to happen on anniversaries.
6. Guilt
Please remember guilt is reserved for a purposeful act intended to harm someone physically or emotionally. This is not the case if you don't feel like doing something but think you should... Be gentle with yourself and - you're doing it right by doing what feels right.
7. My partner does think about him/her
Generally speaking, more often women feel that their man does not think or remember the child's birthday or anniversary. Even though it might be true that men more often forget special dates, be aware of what you imply: Have you asked him (or her)?
More often than not, men tend to internalise their processes and women externalise them. Having interviewed many bereaved parents, both fathers and mothers I do know that it is not true that they don't remember. They do. They just have different ways to do it.
8. Let people know
As mentioned before, people do not know unless you tell them. Help people understand what it is you need by letting them know.
9. A word about self-expectations
Beside the expectation we have of others, we also consciously or unconsciously internalise what we have heard or read. Expecting yourself to be, react or experience different that you are leads to self imposed stress. Notice if that is what is happening. Let go. Allow yourself to be the way it is.
10. Any day can be a 'remembrance' day
Any day you have loaded with meaning can trigger beautiful or stressful memories. As in life in general, so in post-loss life. If you have too many days loaded with stressful triggers of grief, maybe it's time to off-load them and re-load them with more helpful meaning. I will show you how in a future post. Stay tuned.

SHOULD YOU NAME YOUR MISCARRIED BABY?

Should You Give Your Miscarried Baby A Name?

I never thought about actually naming the babies I lost through miscarriage - especially since I had so many. Here are some reasons you may want to name your baby:

  • Naming your baby will give you a specific way to remember them.  Because I had so many miscarriage, there are times that I forget the days, years and so on.  Granted, there are parts of me that want to forget those painful memories, but it can be very healing to acknowledge the pregnancy before trying to move on.
http://getpregnantover40.com/miscarriage-memorial-jewelry.htm
Miscarriage Memorial Remembrance Necklace

SEE ALSO: HOW TO HAVE A MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR YOUR LOST BABY (getpregnantover40.com)

  • If you have other children, it may help them understand that the miscarriage was the loss of an actual person and a family member
  • Naming your baby gives them respect.  Your miscarriage was not just a cluster of cells, it had the potential to be a member of society and a person with a full life.
  • Giving your lost baby a name will help others who are having difficulty communicating with you about your loss.  It give you and them a way to refer to your pregnancy without having to avoid the subject.

CONTAMINATED WATER, MISCARRIAGE AND BIRTH DEFECTS

Miscarriage and Your Drinking Water

Arsenic in your water? It's almost unthinkable, however according to the article below, some areas in the United States could have contaminated water which could affect genes in the fetus. Read more:

From the article:

(HealthDay News) -- Children of women exposed to arsenic-contaminated water during pregnancy
have gene expression changes that may result in cancer and other diseases later in life, a Massachusetts Institute of Technology study suggests.

The researchers, who said their work is the first documentation of widespread genetic changes caused by prenatal exposure to an environmental contaminant, analyzed umbilical cord blood from the children of 32 mothers in an area of Thailand with heavy mining-related arsenic contamination.

Similar levels of arsenic are found in many other parts of the world, including the U.S. Southwest.

SEE ALSO: HOW TO DETOXIFY YOUR ENVIRONMENT FOR FERTILITY AND PREGNANCY (getpregnantover40.com)

Children who were exposed to arsenic in the womb had about 450 genes that were either significantly more active (in most cases) or less active than the same genes in unexposed children.

Most of the gene expression changes detected in the exposed children are associated with inflammation, which can lead to increased cancer risk. It's not clear how long these gene expression changes may last, and the researchers plan to continue testing the children.

The researchers also found that a subset of 11 of these genes could be used as a highly reliable test for determining whether a child had been exposed to arsenic while in the womb.

The study was published in the Nov. 23 issue of the journal PLoS Genetics

WHAT I WISHED I KNEW ABOUT MISCARRIAGE

Miscarriage:  10 Things You May Not Know

There are some misconceptions about miscarriage. Many women haven't ever gone through a miscarriage so when they have one, they rely on what they have heard which many times isn't accurate or may not be applicable in their case.  Here are some things I wished I had known or that I
http://getpregnantover40.com/miscarriage-memorial-jewelry.htm
Miscarriage Memorial Remembrance Necklace
learned after having so many miscarriages of my own:

1.  It may take HcG over a month to get out of your system:
Even though a miscarriage has expelled from your body, HcG (the pregnancy hormone) takes a while to completely get out of your body.  This can lead to feeling pregnant even though you are not.  It can also cause a positive result on a pregnancy test.

2.  Bleeding or Spotting Doesn't Always Lead To Miscarriage.  I spotted with all my pregnancies, including my completely normal pregnancy which led to the birth of my daughter.  Spotting can be caused my a number of factors, and not all of them will lead to a miscarriage...
